Ride for Lucy

Urban Water Solutions is proud to have donated to the charity event ‘Ride for Lucy‘. This event has been created to support ‘RUN DiPG‘, a charity fighting to eradicate the most lethal childhood disease, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DiPG).

DiPG is an aggressive form of brain cancer that mostly affects young children. There is no cure for this disease and less than 10% of those affected will survive more than two years. Less than 1% will survive five years.

Please visit https://www.rideforlucy.com.au for more information about this event, and visit https://rundipg.org to find out more about DiPG.

We hope that our contribution will assist in the fight to eradicate this disease.

Farewell Kerry Brooksmith

Kerry Brooksmith

After 10 years of diligently helping Urban Water Solution’s clients to better understand and enhance their water supply networks, Kerry Brooksmith is leaving us to pursue a more relaxed lifestyle.

For over 25 years, Kerry has used her extensive experience in the application of GIS systems, and network modelling software such as InfoWater, InfoWorks WS, and IWLive, to deliver hydraulic modelling and master planning projects across Australia and internationally.

Her stellar career in Water Infrastructure Modelling and Planning is evident in her influence on major enhancements to water distribution networks throughout Greater Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

Urban Water Solutions is extremely grateful to Kerry for her dedication to our clients, her mentorship of our team of modellers, and her commitment to providing high-quality outcomes.

Although we are all very sad to see her go, we wish her well in the next phase of her life’s journey.

An honors graduate from RMIT University, Ben comes to UWS with over 2-years’ of experience in contaminated land management but is rapidly finding his feet as a hydraulic modeller.

Urban Water Solutions Contributes to Award Winning Sewer Relining Project

Urban Water Solutions was engaged by the John Holland – KBR Joint Venture to provide hydraulic analysis for sewer flow management associated with a project to renew Melbourne Water’s Epsom Road Main Sewer. The sewer, which was originally constructed over 100 years ago, provides an essential link between major sewers in Melbourne’s sewerage network. This renewal required the installation of over 3.5km of pipes and associated pump systems for sewage bypass at 12 locations for flow rates of up to 550 l/s.
